January 10, 2024, the Southern Nevada Health District released its new protocol manual that replaces the June 21, 2023 version.
An agency cannot use these protocols until 90% of its providers have completed the training.

An overview of the updates:
EMTs can pursue EMT-IV endorsement.
Updates to the Trauma Field Triage Criteria.
Adult cardiac arrest PEARLS now allow for mechanical CPR devices.
Westcare removed as a patient destination.
MountainView Hospital removed as an NIR capable facility.
Removal of Dopamine.
Remove of push dose Phenylephrine from Adult Bradycardia
Addition of push dose Epinephrine to the Adult Bradycardia and Pediatric Shock protocols.
Standardization of push dose Epinephrine dosages.
CPAP protocol renamed to Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation.
Sodium Bicarbonate dose changed in the Adult Hyperkalemia protocol.
Atropine dosage changed in the Adult Bradycardia protocol.
